How we do our boxes:

We have several folks in the community who work on the ferry.  They are able to go into Ketchikan and shop for us at Walmart, Tongass Trading Co., etc….  Others order items online (in bulk) to add to the shoeboxes.  We then have a box packing party.  We then have someone transport them on the ferry where someone on the Ketchikan side gets them off the ferry and takes them to the drop off point.  We are the drop off point for Prince of Wales, so boxes from other churches on the island end up here to be transported over.  Sometimes the boxes are sent on the Coke Cola truck, and sometimes they are on the back of someone elses truck or vehicle.
