Jeff & Rhonda,
As a year end fund raiser, our AWANA group had a penny drive for the Alaska
Mission Trip. The kids brought their pennies every week and put them into
two jars. One jar represented Misty Lingle’s team (Tracy’s wife) and the
other jar represented Chris Lane’s (teacher at Greenbrier H.S.) team.
Misty’s group collected the most pennies by 90 cents. The total collection
of pennies by the AWANA kids, for Alaska Missions, was $238.28.
Because Misty’s team won, she got to throw a pie in Chris’s face last night
(see video attached). You can see he shared his pie with the kids. HA!
This is interesting because Chris Lane will be a member of our July mission
team. You will have to thank him, personally, for taking one on the kisser
for Alaska Missions. HA!

Georgia Trip/Update on Canaan:
We had a great time on our visit to Georgia. We were able to see many of our friends while we were there, and we were also able to visit with family. Thanks to those of you ~ (and there were so many of you) ~ that helped us in one way or another. Our time there with you is very important and it is always one of the highlights of our year.
Canaan had an EEG while we were visiting Georgia. The EEG showed all good results. Thank all of you so much for praying for that EEG to be clear! He will remain on medication for approximately 18 months. His next EEG is scheduled for August. He will have this test done at least every 6 months while he is on medication. Please continue to pray for these tests to show no seizure activity and that medication will end at 18 months.

PRAYER REQUESTS:
Continued spiritual growth of the church body in Hollis; New families to move into area; HCC would be a light in the community – drawing people to Christ; softened hearts and salvations. For teams: safety, unity, flexibility and spiritual growth; needed materials and supplies; productive construction and fruitful outreach.
The “Hollis Express”
God has blessed Hollis Bible Camp this year with a 16 passenger bus donated by Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Augusta, Georgia. The bus will be in the parking lot of Grace Baptist Church in Evans, Georgia. It will be readied mechanically by a team of guys from both churches. The bus will then be transported across the U.S. on a tractor trailer car carrier. It will then travel on a barge from Seattle, WA to Thorne Bay, AK (A community about 80 miles from Hollis).
PACK THE BUS!
We are praying for and asking you to help fill it up with items that are hard, impossible, or extremely expensive to get on this island. Please consider again, as many of you did last year, helping to get supplies here by this method. We are including in this mailing a list of those items that are needed. (Remember the value of goods donated is tax deductible and receipts for these donations are available upon request).
SEND THE BUS!
Another way to participate would be to be one of our financial partners to get the bus to Alaska.
Cost to transport the bus from Georgia to Seattle = $2000
Cost to transport the bus from Seattle, WA to Thorne Bay, AK = $900
(The barge fare may be waived. Pray for that).
