HOLLIS COMMUNITY CHURCH AND CAMP &
JONES FAMILY UPDATEÂ JANUARY 2006 edition
FAMILY NEWS:
We’ve had an extremely busy fall, but it’s been great! We expected things to slow down slightly after building and camp season; but with the church gathering more often, lots of special visitors and special happenings, we have not really slowed down at all. In addition to the schedule that home schooling and church activities create, we have been blessed with the newest addition to our family, Molly Christen. Christen was born on November 22nd at Ketchikan General Hospital
You can go to www.peacehealth.org to see her first picture and sign her baby album.
CHURCH NEWS:
HBC has been blessed with a visit from a missionary to Peru, a pastor from Jamaica, as well as a track team, a 34 member choir from Ketchikan, and many other over- night guests traveling to and from Prince of Wales. We have begun a women’s bible study, and a church wide bible study that each meet once a week. We now have gatherings on Sunday evenings called “Family Night†where we have fellowship, games, sometimes movies, and consume lots of popcorn. With very short days and lots of cold rainy weather depression tends to creep into the lives of many people living here. Gatherings with the Church are very important and keep us all focused on Jesus and joyful during this potentially “glum†time.
Christmas Play: Colton narrating, Cana as Mary, Caden as Shepherd, and Canaan as a Wiseman.

CAMP NEWS:
The construction season for camp will begin as early as April. Remember; if you have a team that God might be calling to ministry in S.E. Alaska please talk to Jeff as soon as possible. In addition to the construction needs here, we also have a need for teams island wide to conduct VBS and other outreach ministries.
PRAYER NEEDS:
Thanks to a gracious God, and your prayers, every prayer request that we mentioned in our last letter has been answered. (With that kind of record we thought we’d give you some more):
*open doors for ministry on the island
*God bringing people into the body at Hollis
*wisdom in scheduling teams and construction objectives
*renters for our house in Georgia
*teams and resources for continued construction in summer
