Hollis Community Church

Hello everyone, We wanted to send a quick update.  (As most of you have guessed, we are late with our September Newsletter Update. This is mostly due to Rhonda and the kids starting school in September, and she would have gone into “overload” if she tried to get it out on time.) New Sanctuary: We have moved into the new sanctuary and have had services in there for the past six Sunday’s!!! We are very excited about finally being in our new sanctuary. We have had about 30 folks in church each Sunday since.  Wow! It will comfortably accommodate about 65 people, so….we’re half full already! Yeah!!! Contender’s Club for kids has begun. We are in our 6th week of meeting every Friday night.   We have about 10 kids who come for a craft/project, devotional, game time, and snack time.   About half do not attend church here.    One of the boys at Contender’s this week asked “if we could meet more than one night a week because it sure was a long time from Friday to Friday”.  Bible Study begins this week.   We are beginning the new revised Experiencing God study by Henry Blackaby.   For those of you have done this study, you know how it can really change your life.    Thanks to all of you that came to help this summer, that helped someone else get here, that furnished funds, supplies and tools, and those of you who prayed!    This summer would not have been a success without all of you working together for God’s Glory.
